Believe to Achieve, by John Greenidge

Believe to Achieve

When it comes to a person having a dream, goal or even aspirations, the very first thing one must have is hope.  Then, add faith which leads to belief.

Albert Einstein once said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge”.

Hope is a glimmer or “sneak peak” of what’s to come.  One of the best ways to start on a desired path is to visualize, picture or pretend what you want in order to actually see it in your mind.  Now, you must have faith that it will happen.  Most people only know how to have faith in things they can see.   For instance, seeing a chair and believing it will hold their weight.  The progression is hope then faith then belief.   So, you keep focus on your dreams and just BELIEVE if someone else can do it you can too.

B – Better yourself.  When you have your goal written down and in front of you

continue taking steps forward, no matter how big or small.

E – Encourage others.  One of the best ways to reach higher levels is to start by

lifting up others.  By helping others you’re helping yourself.

L – Love life.  When you start to truly love yourself (and not in an egotistical

way) you will now be open to so much more.  Just watch a baby.  They are

happy most of the time and their minds are like sponges, absorbing every-

thing going on around them.

I – It takes a team.  There isn’t one person who truly succeeds on their own.

Michael Jordan is an excellent example.  He was great by himself yet he still

needed his teammates to get to the championships.

E – Empty your mind.  Even though it’s your dream, you still need other people to

help you get there.  It’s essential to be open to listening to others,

especially those that have been there.  Become the student.

V – Vivid dreams.  When you think about what you want in life, you need to

visualize in detail because the brain thinks in pictures, not words.  The more

details you picture the better chance you have of reaching your goals and

getting what you truly desire.

E – Everyday we grow.  The best education you can have is in yourself.  Dive into

personal development and better yourself.
